Koode review : Another feel good movie from Anjali Menon

Anjali Menon’s much awaited movie Koode released today. Anjali Menon, who is known for sensible story telling, is now celebrating her comeback by giving a visual treat. After the success of Bangalore days, audience had high expectations about movie and from the first day responses, it is evident that she heartwarming story met those expectations completely. Responses says she added another hit to her list. Viewers response shows that, she succeeded in keeping up the feel, that the trailer and the songs kept in viewers mind. Koode is getting positive responses after first show. This indicates that, they have fallen for Prithvi-Nazriya-Parvathy triplets.


Prithviraj played the lead role, and movie also marks the comeback of Nazriya Nazim to big screen, after a gap of 4 years. Mollywood was waiting for naughty girl to appear on big screen again. Koode is the tale of brother-sister bond. Prithvi had earlier told that he found a sister in Nazriya. Anjali also made her return along with Nazriya.

Trailer and songs gave a huge expectation for Koode. All the eyes were set on release. First day stories tells that Koode, is accepted by Malayalam movie fans wholeheartedly as an another family entertainer. Songs were released earlier and all of them hits million views. The movie song Paranne takes us back to college memories. Nazriya appeard as a free bird, roaming with her pet in a song titled Araro. Latest song titled Vanavile was released recently and became sensation in internet. Vanavile depicts the bond-filled with love, between Prithvi and Parvathy. Raghu Dixit and M Jayachandran have both composed the songs for Koode.


Prithviraj is appearing in lead role named as Joshua, Nazriya as Jenny, Parvathy as Sophie, Ranjith as Aloshy. Movie starring youth icons such as Dulquer, Fahadh, Nivin, Parvathy, Nazriya, Bangalore days brought Anjali a wide recognition in Indian film industry. Now the trio Anjali, Parvathy and Nazriya reunited for an another visual treat. Anjali had mentioned that, it is easier to work with repeated collaborators. Nazriya previously told that Koode is a feel good movie featuring value of relationships.


In one of recent interview, Anjali said that Koode is nothing like Bangalore days. People are assuming Koode will be same like Bangalore Days, after seeing songs of Koode. She hopes that people won’t go for Koode with that assumption. Also she confirmed that movie goes through several moods and its not a pure romantic movie.

In case of emotional scenes, Anjali always gives space for actors, allowing them to do which is right for them and how they will react in that situation. She does the same with camera movements also. Anjali in one of her interview, said that she dislike the tag “female filmmaker”. According to her, each movie should be all about work not about who made it. Koode is bankrolled M Renjith under the banner Rejaputhra Visual Media in association with Little Films India.
